Busy, Busy, Busy

Yikes! It's been two weeks since I last posted! How did that happen??

I was in Texas, then I was sick with the grandmother of all head colds and then I went on a knitting binge!

Finished "Objects"

First I finished Butterfly...

I am really pleased with how it came out and how it looks when being worn. I took a cue from Claudia and used seed stitch instead of garter stitch for the edge. Also, like Claudia, I continued it up all the way to the collar and then edged the collar in seed stitch as well.

I am not completely satisfied with the hook and eye I used for the closure. I like the effect but am worried that the thread used to sew it on may cut thru the much softer Kureyon over time. I know that Wendy used ties for her Butterfly and I think someone used a frog. How did other people handle this?

Then I fiished Earnshaw Revised. It's blocking now...

I have not had it on yet, so can't say how well I like it. As heavy as this is, it's going to take DAYS to dry completely. I am afraid the sleeves will be too long as it really seemed to grow when wet. I pushed it back into place, but who knows if it will stay when dry.

I finally put buttons on Elizabeth. So now it is 100 finished as well.

And Clapotis is about six inches bigger than it was when I ripped it out a few weeks ago. It took me a while to even be able to look at it again much less work on it.

Did I mention I started ANOTHER new project? The Elegant Gauntlets form Sally Melvilles The Purl Stitch.

One last "finished" item to report... although defintely not an "object"...

New Champion Polar Mist You've Got Mail HIC

Kelly finished easily the first day we were in Amarillo with her 4th major! She also took Best of Opposite Sex the following day over several other girls so we finished out the year in fine style!

How cute is this....
