Name That Tune, Part Three 13) Red Man Enroute to Borough 14) Frozen Precipitation Commence 15) Proceed and Enlighten on the Pinnacle 16) The Quadraped withthe Vermillion Proboscis 17) Query Regarding Identity of Descendent 18) Delight for this Planet 19) Give Attention to the Melodious Celestial Beings 20) The Dozen Festive 24 Hour Intervals Knitting Content I was right about Earnshaw Revised. When it finally dried and I tried it on, the sleeves were REALLY long. I should have taken a picture. Everyone could have gotten a good laugh. Keep in mind I like my sleeves longer than most, but this was hanging an inch or more past my fingertips. Luckily one of my revisions was to knit the sleeves from the top down. I just had to undo the seam and rip out about 4 inches and then cast off again. Now it's perfect:) Like some others in blogland, I'm beginning to believe my guage swatches always lie on puropse just to make my knitting life interesting. When I made the (good sized) gauge swatch for Rogue I was dead on perfect with my gauge. The almost completed sleeve is showing my swatch to be a liar. My stitch gauge is loose and my row gauge is tight. Yes, even when blocked. When I realized this was happening I decided to continue. I would not like the fabric if it were any tighter and with my stitch gauge, it's only going to make Rogue about 2 inches bigger around. Since I'm making a cardi and see it as outerwear, this will be fine. The row gauge is more of an issue since the pattern is all written using row countes instead of measurements. I just need to keep checking the schematics and doing calcualtions but it will be fine. Pictures when I get the sleeve blocking later today. Anne at 6:42 AM ![]() ![]() | |
