Rogue Ramblings Rogue is coming along nicely in spite of my gauge issues. What surprises me most is how QUICKLY this knits up! See... both sleeves are DONE!  I am thinking I may go back and add a couple rows into my sleeve cap. Still undecided abut that.It was a stretch to block it to 7 inches. I orginally decided not to add rows as I felt that because of the slight difference in my stitch gauge (looser than specified) I would have a wider than called for sleeve cap (I do) and that would make up for my tighter than specified row gauge as far as overall sleeve cap edge length. I will make a final decision after I get the body knit and can measure the armhole edge length and compare to sleeve cap edge length. Here is a cable detail...  As you can see I modified the hem from what the pattern called for. I am much happier with it than I was when I followed the pattern directions. Name That Puppy. Anyone not involved in the sport of purebred dogs (probably applies to cats and horses too) is missing out on a past time that consumes way too many hours of thinking time. It's a great game for when you are driving or doing mindless knitting. The game is.. coming up with really great puppy names. Some people think a name is jsut a name but I am a firm believer that many times a dog willgrow into their names. Take Ilsa for example. Her registered name is Shaman's Play It Again Sam... a bastardization of the famous line from the movie Casblanca. Ilsa was the character Ingrid Bergman played in the movie. And my Ilsa is every bit as beautiful and elegant as her namesake. Then there is Kelly... her name is Polar Mist You've Got Mail... there is story behind WHY I chose that specific registered name, but for now it's enough to know she is named after the movie starring Meg Ryan and Tom Hanks. Where does the "Kelly" part come in? Meg Ryans' character was named Kathleen KELLY.  Anyone care to guess the connection beween Kira's call name and her registered name Takhari's Beyond the Stars?
